Just a month ago our GK Australia team went to inspire a group of non-Filipino UNSW students as they wanted to volunteer for GK in the Philippines. Their aim is help build homes and give hope to people in a village affected two years ago from a typhoon. Now they have gone and done just that. AMAZING! There's a reason why people succeed in life; it's because they are driven to make things happen not just for self but for others!
The UNSW trip was organised by the UNSW ARC (Student Organisation). They have a volunteer program called "Global Village" that encourages UNSW students to volunteer overseas with organisations in developing nations to work on a community project. They approached GK Australia to help them to organise a trip in the mid-year break. 7 volunteers ended up joining the trip and are now helping in a house build at the GK Teleperformance COTW village in Rizal province.
